Tesco challenged us to create an event which would inform and inspire their Non Food store personnel in preparation for the crucial Christmas trading period.
tmb events conceived and produced the inaugural Christmas event for Tesco Extra personnel, which was held in Birmingham in October 2006. Since then, the event has dramatically increased in size and now takes places at the prestigious Celtic Manor Resort in Newport. Delegates attend a two-day event encompassing multi-media seminars, interactive electronic voting and a supplier exhibition featuring over 40 blue chip brands such as Sony, Philips, Nintendo and O². The evening entertainment includes a gala dinner featuring high profile entertainment acts and in 2009, guests were treated to performances from Alexandra Burke and JLS. Planning is now well under way for the 2010 event…..and it promises to be even bigger and better!
Now in its fifth year, the annual Christmas Conference is a ‘hot ticket’ event with approximately 1,100 delegates expected to attend in October 2010. On the back of this event, tmb events have also run four UK road show training academies for Tesco Tech Support – the latest (Summer 2010) featuring eight locations with over 400 delegates in attendance.
